Salvation, according to the Bible is a new birth. It is the complete changing of a person. The changing of your desires, thoughts and attitudes. Salvation is not simply a changing of mind or a temporary desire to do differently. It is complete redirection of who you are and how everything in your life now passes thru the veil of who you are in God. In other words, after Salvation, your viewpoint of sin is becoming in line with God's viewpoint of sin.
Signing a paper or form will not save you for all eternity. Shaking a Ministers hand will not save you.
Becoming a member of a church body will not save you.
There is only one way to Salvation according to the Bible and that is to hear the word, repent of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ as being the Son of the one true Living God. To believe in what Jesus has said that he will do and trust (have Faith) in him that he will do it. That Jesus has came and taken on the sins of the world, taken on your sin in your place and fulfilled the will of God The Father by doing this and overcoming death and the grave.
